About Us

Water Cake is a family-owned Hawaiian shave ice catering company based in Long Beach, CA, bringing a fun, refreshing twist to weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations throughout LA and Orange counties.

The name Water Cake was coined by our son after his first shave ice experience in Hawaii. Water Cake was created to share a true taste of the islands at an affordable price point, without sacrificing quality. We shave our ice extra fine and use only spring or purified water. Our premium syrups are sourced from Hawaii and made with pure cane sugar. We also offer optional snow cap and ice cream bases, including vegan options.

We’re proud to operate sustainably, using eco-friendly, compostable cups and supplies and a 99-lb battery station, so we never rely on gas generators. From beachfront weddings to brand activations and company events, we bring smooth service and laid-back island vibes wherever we go.

You can find us at our weekly farmers markets at CSUF, CSULB, and Riviera Village Farmers Markets, with more pop-ups happening in the spring, summer, and fall.
